Poisoning, sleep deprivation, electrocution, burning, surgical mutilation, force-feeding or complete denial of food and water…these are just some of the atrocities that happen to helpless animals caged in laboratories in the name of science.
Despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, scientists continue to carry out horrific animal experiments claiming they provide evidence that could help combat diseases in humans, such as obesity, strokes, neuropsychiatric disorders and cardiovascular disease.
The documented failures of these experiments and the vast differences between animal and human physiologies should be evidence enough to stop these experiments from continuing. Yet they are still being carried out on approximately 11.5 million animals each year in Europe alone.
Please sign this petition to join European legislators and leading experts from around the world in urging the European Commission and European Parliament to observe a moratorium on all animal experiments.
