Meet Martina Billi, an incredibly talented artist from Italy who creates nature-inspired drawings using a ballpoint pen on recycled wood.
Martina graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence with a degree in painting and now puts her talent to work in her studio in Madrid, Spain. Taking her inspiration from the natural world, she uses wood that others have discarded as her canvas and focuses on the animal kingdom as her muse.
Using pen and ink, Martina creates stunning drawings of animals in a large format with detailing that brings them to life, just as the previously discarded wood has been given a new lease of life. The natural combination exudes warmth, capturing the personality of each animal with incredible accuracy.
